Default Gate of Desolation Mission

Hi im like stuck at this mission for 3 weeks and it pisses me off tbh.
I would really appreciate some help from u guys, pls dont let me pay for it =(

Hope u guys wanna help me out.

I know that mission pretty well...the hardest part is the beginning of the mission once you're in a wurm it's a cake walk. I can come help you out. Whisper Valshara Damaskinos.

Just for a tip, stand well back from the wurm spoor as each wave of undead approaches, because enemies approach from behind also. If you're up the hill and not near the spoor, you will be able to fight the groups one at a time, which is much easier. Then you can pull the bosses and enemies without being overwhelmed by others approaching across the sulphur.

easy enough mission, take melonni with pure holy-damage bar...think i rerolled zhed as a smiter for this mission ^^ worked wonders...just target monks first then paras and keep melee away from monks, makes the mission incredibly easy...

I hero/henched masters last night on this mission, i was a d-slash warrior, had zhed as Sf ele, olias mm, dunkoro WoH healer, as well as mhenlo, kihm, gerhaz and cynn. I just pinned heros at top of hill next to where palawa joko stands and pull each group up there, i did it really easily and with considerably little effort.

When u enter the mission keep to the left side. Place your team on the lip above the wurm spoor. If you have henches flag them there. The tactical advantage is to be on higher ground than the approaching mobs, and making them run the long way to you (as in a U shape through your aggro circle). This will give you time to put damage into them long before they get close to you.

Take their melee fighters (blademaster/carver) down first, followed by their Acolytes (which rez) and Heads (mesmers), then the rest. When Queen pops up ignore everything else and pool all power into her. Her bite will take casters down in one bite, and make your healers overwork. The 3 bosses coming with her the last time is not too hard - just concentrate all damage on one after the other.

Once you inside the wurms the rest is easy. Just keep in mind that henches inside wurms do melee or ranged attacks based on the weapon they have equipped. Wums has no heal other type skills so you can still wipe out if you are not used to them.

Recommended hench team setup: Devona / Cynn & Herta / Mhenlo & Kihm / Aidan & Eve / If you are melee type take Sogolon else use Gehraz. Swap heroes in where you have them.

This is how I did it (and I didn't even read Lafayette's post either):

Mesmer/Monk - me - Domination/Inspiration Interupter
Zhed - E/Mo Hydromancer
Talkora - Mo/Me Protect Monk
Olais - Blood/Curse SS & well of blood
Devona
Holy Henchie
Mehnlo
Kim the healer

Flagged the hero/henchies by the pillar before the wurm spur. I walked over and aggroed.

They chased me up the hill into my trap. First wave died quickly. I unflagged the H&H and reflagged them closer. Then I pulled the 2nd wave and so forth. Everyone fell into my trap and cake walk.
